For Rounds 2 and 3 in Jeddah and Spielberg, flying the flag for Scuderia AlphaTauri Orlen Esports was the veteran Joni Tormala and rookie Jed Norgrove. The latter did brilliantly at the Red Bull Ring, finishing a strong fifth and setting the fastest race lap, thus bringing home plenty of points.

Both our rookies were in action on Thursday with Tom Manley joining Jed Norgrove to tackle the classic Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps tracks. Despite the high level of difficulty, Tom picked up two more points for the constructors’ championship, crossing the line in ninth place at the Belgian track.

Tom Manley got off on the right foot on Friday, dealing with the swooping Zandvoort circuit and finishing a well deserved third, to secure a podium finish.

“I’m very happy to come away with a podium, however my performance in the other races was subpar and I need to improve heading into Event 3. I made some mistakes in qualifying that ultimately did not help with my race, but I’ve proven that I have the pace now. Full focus on the remaining races this season to finish strong.”

Round 2: P14
Round 3: P5
Round 4: P14
Round 5: P14

“Great to secure more points for the team but I’ll admit my qualifying performance has not been as consistent as I’d like. We were faced with some rough scenarios but I fought till the very end and now looking forward to round out this season on a high.”

Round 3: P18
Round 6: P14

“It’s been a very disappointing week for me – I should be reaching Q3 but on the day I couldn’t hook up the laps. I’m frustrated to leave the event with no points but I will continue to push hard heading into the next event. We had to make some last minute adjustments to driver changes heading into this event that weren’t ideal, but we have more time now to prepare and get up to speed.”
