Testing is not just about speed. It is about preparation, data and insight. It allows us to fine-tune details and make improvements ahead of the season.
Pre-season testing is focused on several key areas:
- Reliability Checks: Every component of the car, from the engine to the cooling systems, is put through repeated runs to ensure it can survive a full race.
- Data Collection: Telemetry allows us to see exactly how the car behaves on track, from suspension load to aerodynamic balance.
- Tyre and Strategy Evaluation: We assess tyre wear and fuel loads in different configurations to understand how our car will perform over a race distance.
- Parts and Upgrade Trials: New aerodynamic elements and mechanical updates are tested to see their real-world effect.
These sessions are about understanding, not winning. Lap times matter, but only as a benchmark to measure progress and reliability.

We have two official pre-season tests at the Bahrain International Circuit:
Bahrain Test 1 takes place from 11th to 13th February and focuses on initial running and reliability.
Bahrain Test 2 runs from 18th to 20th February and centres on final preparation and data refinement.
The tests follow a shakedown in Barcelona and lead up to the season opener in Australia on 6th March 2026.

During each day of testing, we carry out structured programmes:
- Shakedown Runs: Confirm the car starts and systems work as expected.
- Aerodynamic Testing: Using sensor bars and flow paint to track airflow and performance.
- Long Runs: Simulate race conditions with fuel loads and tyre management.
- Qualifying Simulations: Test speed and balance with lighter fuel and softer tyres. Confirm the car starts and systems work as expected.
Every session feeds into data analysis to guide upgrades, adjust balance and plan race strategies.
