First of all, we need to talk about the VCARB Creator Platform. In case you missed it, we had a cracking time with Marie Balbinot, one of Brazil’s most exciting emerging street artists, on the streets of São Paulo in the run-up to on-track action. Not only did she design this wonderful Race Poster, but she also hosted a live painting session alongside our very own Rafaela Ferreira from the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Academy Programme, and even decorated our garages here in Interlagos. We think Liam and Isack should stick to racing, personally. Or maybe guitar sessions?
Pretty soon, we were hitting the track. Specifically, the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, also known as Interlagos, and its 15 turns and 2.67 miles of motorsport perfection. We absolutely love it here, and the track is a favourite among our drivers, too.
“I’m excited to drive this track for the first time”, Isack said in a media debrief at the beginning of the week. Liam was equally as keen to race in Brazil and return to a track he was first introduced to in 2024. Plus, it’s another Sprint weekend, which means there are two races for the price of one. And who doesn’t love a deal like that?

In their one and only practice session, Isack was P9 ahead of Liam in P11, while Lando Norris set the pace up front. And in Sprint Qualifying, Isack backed up this early pace and made it to SQ3, qualifying P9. Liam struggled with the setup of his car and lined up P17, but with most of the points being up for grabs on Sunday, we were all still optimistic of a strong weekend.
After what was a tricky, stop-and-start Sprint Race, Isack lost a position to finish P10. Liam made his way up to P13, so the pace was clearly there for our resident Kiwi. We found some time to do some arts and crafts with Sebastian Vettel, too.
Liam and Isack were clearly LOCKED IN after the Sprint Race, as they both made it through to Q3 for the Feature Race on Sunday. P5 for Isack and P7 for Liam is one of our best Qualifying sessions of the year, and you can see what it means to the team. 🫶
Quick shoutout to Rafa for her race win in the BRB F4 Brasil Championship. Let’s Interla-gooooo Rafa, VAMOS!

And finally, before we dig into the race, can we get a moment of appreciation for this incredible Drivers’ Parade?
So, how was the Race? That’s a great question. Here’s how it went down:
Both of our guys started on the Soft compound tyres (from P5 and P7, remember, because they’re both qualifying legends), and Liam gained a position on George Russell almost immediately. That’s P6. After a four-lap Safety Car period for Gabriel Bortoleto’s crash in an incident with Lance Stroll, we were back under racing conditions. That was until… A Virtual Safety Car for a three-way collision between Kimi Antonelli, Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc, with the Ferrari driver coming off the worst and retiring from the race.
Liam lost a couple of positions back to George Russell and Ollie Bearman on the race restart but was still in a comfortable (and impressive) P6. Isack was the first to pit, doing so on Lap 19 for a fresh set of Medium tyres. Liam followed a lap later and, spoilers, made them last until the very end of the race. A proper tyre whisperer!

After multiple laps of back-and-forth racing with compatriot Pierre Gasly, Isack pitted again on Lap 38 to swap onto another set of Medium tyres, which took him to the end of the race. He emerged in P16, but was already up to P10 after just 11 laps and was fighting with Lance Stroll for the last couple of point-scoring positions.
As the race reached its finale, Liam and Isack were pretty much neck and neck and were in the thick of it, fighting with Bearman, Stroll and Russell. Liam brought his car home in P7 after pulling a stonking stint on Medium tyres, followed by Isack in P8. Double points in São Paulo, babyyyyyy!
What did the team think about the FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRANDE PREMIO DE SÃO PAULO 2025? Well, here’s Liam:
The strategy worked well for us, so a big congratulations to the team - it’s been a massive effort to have both cars in the points today. The strategy worked well for us, so a big congratulations to the team - it’s been a massive effort to have both cars in the points today.
Liam Lawson And Isack
I think we showed some good moments today despite having a tough race overall. We struggled during the first stint and at some points throughout the race, I got stuck in traffic and had to play with damage limitation.
Isack Hadjar Stick around, friend, it won’t be long until we’re back. In just two weeks, VCARB will be hittin’ the strip and soaking up the glitz and the glam of Las Vegas.
