2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Street racing thrills await in Baku at the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The maiden race here went by the name of the European GP, but the last three editions were called the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Azerbaijan: ancient history, Caspian Sea views and one seriously chaotic F1 street circuit. Since Baku joined the calendar in 2016, the city has delivered everything from late-braking drama to last-lap madness. Now, we’re back on the streets.

“It feels great to be back in my car alongside the team as we head to Baku. It has been a busy few weeks with the switch to Red Bull Racing, and I’m looking forward to getting back into the rhythm with the team and focusing on the weekend ahead. I'm also happy to see Isack back, having recovered from his injury. I know how much he’s been looking forward to racing again, so hope we both have a strong weekend.

“Baku is always an exciting one. It’s such a unique circuit with a long straight and technical corners around the Old City. It’s a track where you need confidence and precision, and the combination of high-speed and low-speed corners makes it a really interesting challenge.

“We’ve got an important target for the rest of the season, and everyone is working hard to put Racing Bulls in the best possible position to secure P5 in the Constructors’ Championship. We’ll keep pushing as a team and hopefully come away from Baku with some strong points.”
