Sorry, got a bit carried away there. We’re in Las Vegas, babyyyyyyyyy. And what’s not to love? Before we hit The Strip for Round 22 of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, it’s become tradition for us to take you on a virtual tour of the local area. We’re here to show you the sights, sounds and smells of Las Vegas. Welcome to our VCARB Culture Guide.
Vegas is the permanent home to over 2.5 million people, but it welcomes over 40 million visitors each year. It’s world-famous for its nightlife, casinos, shopping, music and expression. It’s one of the global leaders in hospitality and is the third most popular destination in the United States.

Las Vegas became a city in 1911, but its breakout boom didn’t come until 1931. This was the year Nevada, the state in which you’ll find Las Vegas, legalised casino gambling. The post-war years saw the rise of flashy hotels and casinos, and big names in entertainment began to perform on the Vegas Strip. You can’t think of Las Vegas without also picturing Elvis Presley, after all, whose long-term residency at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino became world-famous, and his legacy lives on through hundreds of impersonators and tribute acts. You can even be married by an Elvis celebrant! Other notable performers include Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Prince and Mariah Carey.
If you’re visiting Sin City around the time of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, you shouldn’t need to think about the blistering heat of the Nevada desert. Instead, think about seeing some incredible attractions (as well as the Formula One, obvs, but we’ll get to that). Here are our top picks of must-see attractions in Las Vegas:

Take a gondola ride around the Venetian Hotel, watch the iconic Bellagio fountain show, explore the Fremont Street Experience at night and get covered head-to-toe in neon lights and incredible vibes. Take a visit to The Sphere (it’s basically next door to the circuit, after all), climb the Strat Tower and explore Vegas 350m above the ground, see a show! You’re in Vegas, it’d be rude not to see Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio if you’re coming all this way. Needless to say, you’re not going to be short of a thing or two to do, but, of course, we know why you’re really here…
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is the newest addition to the F1 calendar. We first visited the Las Vegas Strip Circuit in 2023, and we’ll be returning until 2027 at the earliest. But this wasn’t the first time that Formula One has raced in Vegas. Back in 1981, the Caesars Palace Grand Prix was introduced and took place on a temporary circuit in the car park of the Caesars Palace hotel. It was removed from the Formula One calendar from 1983 onwards. Nelson Piquet and Keke Rosberg will be glad of its running in 1981 and 1982, as the Caesars Palace Grand Prix was fundamental in both of their World Championship campaigns.

The track was designed by Carsten Tilke, son of world-famous circuit designer Hermann Tilke. The circuit has a permanent paddock building at its core, owned by F1, which also acts as the start/finish point of the lap. The rest of the circuit is temporary, being made up of street sections along Las Vegas Boulevard and passing famous Vegas buildings, including the Cosmopolitan, Bellagio and Caesars Palace. The race is held at night, so track temperatures are low and grip is limited. It’s a fast and tricky race for Liam and Isack, but it’s one they’re both capable of handling.
Join Liam, Isack and the team from 21-23 November for the speed, the sparkle and the special one-off VCARB 02 livery at the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2025.
See you on The Strip!
