“Here in Zandvoort, free practice was good, we were P9 in FP2 and just a few tenths would have taken us up to P3 so it was a really close grid. It was unfortunate during qualifying as it started to rain and I’m not as experienced in wet conditions. It cost my race weekend as I qualified at the back. In race one, the key was adapting to a damp track. I received a penalty for a false start and was out of the points, so it was about trying different things and lines ahead of the next race. Race two was better, we made up positions at the start. We finished P14 with close battles in a train towards P9. It was a tight race and I’m glad I was part of the pack fighting for position. Looking ahead, I need to work on my skills in wet conditions. I have simulator work coming up and it’ll be my first time driving the Marina Bay Circuit ahead of Singapore. Taking the good from this weekend, we were really fast in practice and unfortunately unlucky with the rain in qualifying.”
