Rafa headed out for Free Practice 2 and finished the session in P15, improving her best lap time by over seven-tenths of a second in preparation for qualifying on Saturday. The fastest time was set by Weug.
Saturday came around and Rafa stuck in a cracking lap, good enough for P7 overall - her best qualifying of the year so far and just +1.215 seconds off the pace of championship contender Chambers. Pole position was grabbed by Chambers.

Rafa lined up for Race 1 of the F1 Academy in P2 due to the reverse grid rules. She drove a strong race and recovered to P8 after Lloyd collided with her at turn 1 of lap 1. Rafa secured her first points since China in a strong return to form, and the race was won by Pin.
Race day brought more rain and the unfortunate cancellation of Race 2 of the F1 Academy. A disappointing outcome for Rafa, but points on the board in Race 1 is a great step forward.
Next stop for F1 Academy: Montreal! Join Rafa in Canada from 13-15 June.
