Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Gian’s photography sits at the intersection of sport, culture and everyday life. His work is rooted in observation and process, with a clear emphasis on people and place rather than spectacle alone. Growing up as the son of immigrant parents has shaped his creative outlook, giving his images a perspective grounded in resilience, identity and shared experience.
This approach aligns closely with how we view our own world in Formula One. It is not only about performance on track, but about the people, environments and decisions that shape each moment. As Gian describes his creative vision:

Ahead of the Season Launch, Gian has spent time moving through Detroit to understand the city hosting our first major moment of the year. His images explore Detroit’s deep automotive roots, capturing Ford vehicles of different generations and styles, alongside recognisable landmarks such as Ford Field Arena and other iconic locations across the city.
Following the Season Launch, we will share a gallery of Gian’s behind-the-scenes images, offering a closer look at how we prepare for the start of a new Formula One season.
