Round 24 of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship has brought Team VCARB to the United Arab Emirates and the Yas Marina Circuit.
To bring in the final race of the season, we got @artofbrentos to design our last Creator Program poster of 2025. Plenty more of these to come in 2026, so watch this space.
As we arrived in Abu Dhabi for the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2025, we checked in with Liam on how he’s preparing for another entire year of incredibly insightful admin walk-in questions.
And on the other side of the garage, we had one final walk-in with Isack, who’s off to Red Bull Racing in 2026, and asked him to recap his favourite moments from 2025. And then, naturally, we began filming our final LISACK chapters together, and the awards swiftly followed.
But what about the track action? Let’s run you through it for one final time in 2025.
Our very own Ayuma Iwasa took the place of Liam in Friday’s FP1 session, finishing P17, less than half a second off Isack in P12. McLaren’s Lando Norris led the way in both Practice sessions on Friday, with Isack improving to P7 in FP2 and Liam finishing P18 as he got acclimatised to the track.

Before we hit the track on Saturday for our final Qualifying session of the year, Isack and his fellow rookies met up for a season debrief. We also got Hadjar Sr in the seat of the VCARB 02, as he got a feel of what his son has become so accustomed to. We wonder if speed runs in the family?

For Qualifying, Liam and Isack made it through to Q1: both lap times within eight-tenths of Piastri, who led the first session. In Q2, Isack set a stellar lap to promote him to Q3, but Liam missed out by less than half a tenth of a second. Unreal margins in modern Formula One. Once Isack was through to Q3, he set a lap time of 1:23.072, less than eight-tenths off Max Verstappen’s pole position time.
Isack did have to have a word with Arvid Lindblad, though, who moved into his room a little too early…
So, how did the final race of 2025 go for Liam and Isack?
Both of our guys started on Medium tyres and moved up the field at the race start. Isack gained a position on Esteban Ocon, and Liam gained TWO positions on Ollie Bearman and Carlos Sainz. Proper quality race starts from both of them. In a battle for position, Liam picked up a 5-second time penalty for driving erratically, which dropped him down to P20 after his pit stop on Lap 22.

Sadly, after our pit stops, we struggled to match the pace of the surrounding cars, and we lost positions to Kimi Antonelli and Lance Stroll. The Hard tyre just wasn’t working for us, unfortunately. Isack and Liam battled hard and finished the race next to each other in P17 and P18, respectively. Not the way we would have liked to end such a strong season, but sometimes you have to roll with the punches.
A tough race, but nevertheless, the hard work and consistency from the Team all season meant we secured P6 in the Constructors’ Championship! An incredible achievement for everyone at the track and back at the factories in Faenza and Milton Keynes. And you could really see what it meant to the team, too.

So while it was a disappointing final race of the season, we cannot ignore what an incredible year we’ve had as a team. From Isack’s first podium in Zandvoort to Liam’s best Grand Prix finish in Azerbaijan. The memories and achievements we’ve made along the way won’t be forgotten any time soon.
Here’s Isack and Liam weighing in on the final race of 2025:
“Looking at the positives and reflecting on my first F1 season, it’s been a great journey and I’m proud of everyone within VCARB for everything we achieved together. It’s not the final race we wanted but getting P6 in the Constructors’ Championship was our target and a great reward for all of us.” - Isack
“Congratulations to the team on P6 in the Constructors’. While we struggled with our strategy and pace today, we’ve had a strong season and achieved our target this weekend. I’m excited to get back to work after the short winter break.” - Liam
