Welcomeback,VCARBenjoyers,it’sbeenawhile,hasn’tit?
Since Japan, even with no racing, there’s been a lot going on at VCARB HQ with Arvid and Liam, so let’s get you caught up.
You heard it here first: Arvid’s been having too much fun with our social team. I think we’re finally starting to grow on the boys… Meanwhile, Liam was ready to join Sabrina on the main stage at Coachella with these sweet riffs. Arvid even embodied the legendary David Attenborough in what almost certainly looked like the start of a long, successful narration career. Liam, on the other hand, seems to have had it with our dad jokes.
And then, of course, we’ve been serving you some top-tier content on YouTube, which you can check out here, including Arvid testing TikTok hacks and a day-in-the-life with Liam.
Which brings us nicely to Round 4 of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. We’re in Miami, babyyyyy. The 305, the Magic City, and our home for the week, taking up residency at the Miami International Autodrome. By the way, we can’t be turning up to Miami, of all places, in a regular livery and regular team kit, so we decided to get a bit zesty in our Summer Edition Replica Kit, available here.

We revealed the VCARB 03 livery on the waters of Miami, the perfect way to give our cars the lime-light (lime, get it?)
To add even more excitement to proceedings, Miami is a Sprint weekend, so you get two for one on racing goodness. Let’s dive into what went down.
Starting off with the official Miami race poster, courtesy of @sandrajockus, as part of the VCARB Creator Platform.
In the one and only practice session of the weekend, both Arvid and Liam clocked up 41 laps of the Miami International Autodrome, getting their VCARB 03’s into tip-top condition ready for Sprint Qualifying. Arvid made his way into SQ2 and set a time of 1:30.573, lining up P15 for the Saturday Sprint, and Liam was just one place behind.
When the lights went out for the Sprint, a technical issue sadly kept Arvid in the box, but Liam was able to fly the flag for VCARB, putting up a good fight with the two Williams and Cadillac cars to finish P14.

In Qualifying, Arvid couldn’t quite make it out of Q1 and was prepared to start the Grand Prix from P16. Liam advanced to Q2, setting a time of 1:29.499 to line up in P11.
Time for race day. A dramatic Lap 1, which saw Max Verstappen spin and avoid contact with any drivers, put Liam into the mix for the top 10, as he battled in the midfield with the two Williams cars. By the end of the first lap, our Kiwi was in P8! Arvid had also made up a position and was chasing down Oliver Bearman for P14.

On Lap 5, Liam was in P10 but was sticking on the tail of the Williams driver and wasn’t giving up without a fight. Arvid was defending against Isack Hadjar’s Red Bull for P15. Later on that lap, Liam collided with Pierre Gasly’s Alpine straight after suffering a gearbox issue, which led him to losing the control of the car and ultimately made contact with Pierre. Liam then returned to the pit and was forced to retire the car.
Arvid continued his charge, finishing P14 overall after a lengthy battle with Esteban Ocon.

"It was always going to be a difficult race given the limited mileage this weekend. I struggled in the first stint, the pace on the Medium tyre wasn't there and I had very little grip. As soon as I switched to the Hard tyre, I felt more comfortable, the car was easier to drive and the pace definitely improved. We'll take a close look at everything from this weekend, I'll keep working on my side and continue learning. The team did a really good job this weekend, making the most out of some difficult situations. Overall, I'm really enjoying driving the car so far and I'm excited for another new track coming up."
"It's been a tough weekend here in Miami. We suffered a gearbox issue, which isn't something we've experienced before, but it meant that I lost control of the car and ultimately made contact with Pierre. The collision ended his race and the issue led to us having to retire the car, which is obviously frustrating. I went to see Pierre straight after the race to apologise and am glad he's okay, which is the main thing. We had a strong start and gained a lot of places, so it's a shame for the race to have ended as it did. We'll use the next couple of weeks to reset and take our learnings to Canada, which is a track I really enjoy."
Next up: Montreal. Join us from 22-24 May for Round 5 of the championship for the FORMULA 1 LENOVO GRAND PRIX DU CANADA. Au revoir!
