Starting off with Arvid making a milestone moment with his special one-off helmet design for his home race, designed in collaboration with Navinder Nangla.Inspired by his journey from karting to Formula One, the helmet represents Arvid’s childhood dream and vision from the young age of three. A series of hand-drawn illustrations by Navinder symbolizes the ambition, determination and belief he has always had to become a Formula One Driver. The two of them really did DREAM BIG with this one. It’s a certified VCARB banger, full of Arvid’s most special moments.

What They'll See In Their Wing Mirrors

Rafa is back, folks! Our very own VCARB driver, Rafaela Ferreira, is back for the third round of the F1 Academy championship, with her own special glowed-up livery, courtesy of Anastasia Beverly Hills. She ate with this one. And that’s not all folks, we had our Creator Platform race poster, with @illustrationalofficial bringing the British Grand Prix to life in style.

First up to hit the track was Rafa, in her one and only practice session in F1 Academy. Our resident Brazilian clocked up 15 laps as she acclimatised to the 18 twists and turns of Silverstone. Rafa then headed back out for her qualifying session and improved her practice time to line up P14 for Saturday’s Reverse Grid race. In Arvid and Liam’s practice session, the duo put in 60 laps in total and were biting at the heels of the top teams, which they backed up with a double Sprint Q3 finish, with Liam in P9 and Arvid in P10. Not a bad start to the weekend at all. Here’s their debrief:

Saturday brought sun, speed and Sprint Race action. Liam and Arvid got good launches and were able to pass the Alpine of Pierre Gasly on Lap 4, promoting themselves to P8 and P9 respectively. Arvid lost out on a position to the charging Red Bull of Isack Hadjar, dropping to P10, but Liam held firm and secured a valuable championship point in P8.

Pausing briefly to eat up some snacks, the boys then prepped for Qualifying for the main race on Sunday, backing up the Sprint Quali double Q3 with yet another, this time with Arvid starting in P9 and Liam in P10. These lads are rapido around this circuit! Here’s their (not at all staged) debrief:

Rafa then headed out for the Reverse Grid Race in F1 Academy, where she finished P11 after 13 laps in the British sunshine.

Back with the boys, we were delivering some top-quality journalism, as per usual, and we were absolutely not (not) continuing the ragebaiting era.

Which brings us to Sundayyyyyy aka the best day of the week, made all the more exciting when Lego is involved. Yes, this is foreshadowing. But first, Rafa’s Feature Race in F1 Academy ended prematurely after a crash with Ella Stevens on the Hamilton Straight. Rafa will no doubt bounce back when she’s next on track in Zandvoort, when she’ll join the VCARB gang for Round 4 of F1 Academy.

Some of you may remember the absolutely mad antics from Miami last year. Well, they were back, but this time Arvid and Liam had karts all to themselves. It went as well as you’d expect.

Phew, I’m exhausted already, don’t know about you guys? But it’s finally time for the main event: Race day. A record 564,000 F1 fans came together to celebrate one of the most special Grands Prix of the year, and we could not wait to get going.

Starting on Mediums, Arvid and Liam made solid starts, but both had minor off-track excursions with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri. They survived the opening lap and Liam made up two places, sitting in P8, whilst Arvid maintained P9. This is where they remained until Hadjar made a move on both VCARB 03s to demote Liam to P9 and Arvid to P10.

On Track Action

Our boys had pulled such a gap on the rest of the field that when they pitted on Laps 28 and 29, they emerged on their Hard tyres in the same position they entered. Talk about race pace! A temporary VSC for Hulkenberg’s Audi stopping at Copse corner didn’t affect our race and we maintained comfortable positions in P8 and P9.

Kimi Antonelli had some issues on Lap 44 and dropped behind our cars, promoting Liam to P7 and Arvid to P8. No matter what happened in this race, our boys were inseparable. Then, four laps later, the full Safety Car was deployed for a crash at Stowe for Max Verstappen, shuffling both drivers up the grid once more. We pitted both drivers for Soft tyres to take us to the chequered flag, with the race finishing under Safety Car conditions.

Hitting Those Apexes

That’s one solid haul of points for a weekend! P6 and P7 in the Race and P8 for Liam in the Sprint, totalling 15 points taken from Silverstone and bringing us to within one point of Alpine in the Constructors’ Championship. We see our drivers in one way, and one way only…

One more thing, as admin, it is my duty to be tapped into popular culture and bring you the very best content from the world of VCARB, which is why, considering our Race result, it would have been a crime not to hit you with the mighty…

Liam #41

"It was a fantastic result for the team today. We had a strong start and great race pace, so I feel very happy with how everything came together. The upgrades we brought to Canada were first tested in Barcelona with the high-speed balance, and it has felt really good each weekend since. I'm super proud of all the hard work the team has put in, meaning we've come away with points from both races. We have some tough tracks coming up, but hopefully we'll continue to go keep this positive momentum going."

"It was a great day and I'm really happy to have scored points here at my first home Grand Prix. Racing in front of my home crowd made the whole weekend even more special. We had a good start to the race, but after going side by side with Max in Turn 3, I encountered a few issues with the deployment, which prevented me from maintaining the position. It was a bit frustrating, but once again a nice team result and it's amazing to keep this positive momentum going. The team have done a great job, and I think that since we introduced the update in Canada, we've had an even greater package, so massive credit to them."
