“The Qatar weekend was a tough one and in the few days since then, the team has been flat out to find why our performance dropped so much after the first few laps on Sunday when I’d managed to get up into the points positions. I think at least part of it was track specific, so I am more optimistic about Abu Dhabi, a circuit where I qualified sixth and finished eighth last year. Our championship situation is more complicated now, but I will be pushing as hard as I can to finish the season in a good way.“

"It’s the last race of the season, which is weird to say as it feels like it’s only just started. I’m looking forward to racing in Abu Dhabi, it’s a track that I’ve raced in the past in F2. I made my debut in an F1 car back in 2021 in the young driver tests, so I’m excited to be back on the track. It’s a fun one to drive, especially with the new layout and the team has had success here in the past, so I’m optimistic. I’ve had a tough couple of races, so I’m hoping to finish the season on a high.”

“It’s a short hop from Qatar to Abu Dhabi, but we have come a long way in every sense of the word since the start of this 24 race season, in Bahrain in early March. By that I mean we have evolved considerably as a team, because it wasn’t just our name that was new this year. Inevitably there have been highs and lows, we have hit some of our targets and missed others. A team can only be judged in comparison to the competition and we have been fighting against very strong opponents in the midfield all year. It’s true that since last Sunday at Lusail, our championship aspirations have taken a knock, but this won’t affect how we tackle this last race at a track which should better suit our car. With the usual three hours of free practice this weekend, we will use some of the time to assess a few solutions for 2025, something that will continue at the test session here next Tuesday. We will also be giving Honda and Red Bull junior driver Ayumu Iwasa another FP1 run in our car, following on from his drive at Suzuka earlier in the year. At Yas Marina he will replace fellow countryman Yuki. We want to end the season on a high and everyone in the Team will be investing every last drop of energy into doing so!”
